Intensive Outpatient Program
At Discovery Transitions, we strongly believe in an individualized approach to recovery. Because each client is different, what works for one person might not work for another. Some clients are in need of the structured environment that a residential program can provide, consequently, others may benefit from the flexibility of an intensive outpatient program.
How Long Is The Intensive Outpatient Program?
Our intensive outpatient program combines the best in individualized care with various group therapies. They range anywhere from 30 to 180 days or longer, depending on an individual’s needs. The program consists of one individualized session per week and groups for a minimum of 9 hours per week.
Is An Intensive Outpatient Program Right For Me?
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are best for people which:
- Have had a short history with addiction
- Are at low risk for relapse
- Can commit to attending regular therapy sessions
Since our intensive outpatient program offers so much flexibility, clients are still are able to incorporate the program into the rest of their schedule. Therefore, outpatient therapy provides more freedom than residential treatment. In conclusion, both offer a rigorous program that teaches clients how to live a balanced and fulfilling life.
