The Discovery House provides both inpatient and outpatient rehab to people from across the nation. Our residents from New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and other states in the northeast, have remained in long-term recovery and are enjoying addiction free health.
At The Discovery House we have a 3:1 resident-counselor ratio, and we are fully Joint Commission accredited. This accreditation is held by only 6% of drug and alcohol treatment facilities in the United States, and it means that our residents get the best and most effective care.
Recovery is possible, and our individualized care approach is what makes The Discovery House so frequently chosen by residents from across the nation.
More than most people realize.
The Discovery House national inpatient rehab and outpatient addiction treatment programs are excellent, and nationally respected for their results. Out certified addiction specialists follow each resident closely, making sure that the treatment plan meets their on-going needs.
Coming to The Discovery House means residents are able to devote the necessary time to their recovery in the inpatient (residential) setting. We also provide a continuum of care that includes inpatient care, outpatient rehab, and after care.
Distance from home can be helpful if the family or social situation is increasing the chances for relapse. A change of scenery to the sunny west coast from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or states in the northeast gives most residents in inpatient rehab or outpatient treatment recovery, the ability to focus deeply on their rehab. There are many less distractions, including proximity to people and places that were contributing to the drug and alcohol use.
Our goal at The Discovery House is the same as those who come to us from Pennsylvania, Maryland, or anyone else: Rejoin life as a person physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy without addiction to drugs or alcohol.
Outpatient rehab at The Discovery House
Residential inpatient rehab at The Discovery House is more closely structured and supervised. Residents live on-site in our beautiful residential treatment center.
Some residents from California, as well as from Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and other northeastern states, are excellent candidates for outpatient rehab treatment at The Discovery House.
Outpatient rehab is appropriate for residents who have been using drugs and alcohol for a short period of time, are at a very stable point in inpatient rehab and ready to transition, or are at low-risk for relapsing back into drug use. We evaluate each individual resident carefully, to make sure outpatient rehab is the best option.
Addiction treatment and therapy continues during outpatient rehab, but with the duration and intensity changing according to each resident’s needs. Being able to return to work and school are possible while remaining in outpatient rehab at The Discovery House.
Residents from West Virginia, Connecticut, and other east coast areas often feel making the transition from inpatient rehab to outpatient care is a smoother, more naturally effective recovery plan than returning immediately home. As part of our continuum of care, our residents keeps the same counselor, which allows them the comfort and security of connections that they have already made with The Discovery House staff.
After care follows you back east
Aftercare is always provided for each resident at The Discovery House. This means that an aftercare plan will be ready and waiting back home before leaving California.
