We see progress when it comes to discussions on social media. What we’re not seeing is progress in treatment and the endless consequences that we then have conquer as a result.
A shift may be taking place but the stigma remains a public health issue. Mental illness contributes to high rates of death, incarceration, and health concerns – not to mention it’s relationship with the disease of addiction.
