Addiction Information for the Family
Taking the first step toward sobriety is a difficult one, but our staff is ready to help you or your loved one through the process to achieve long term recovery. When an individual is ready to seek treatment for a drug or alcohol addiction, there are many choices to be made. Not only do you have to find a facility that offers the treatment programs and options that are right for you or your loved one, but you must also sort through all the drug addiction treatment information that is important, such as what insurance is accepted and how payments work. It is also important to know what to bring to rehab and what to expect during treatment. In addition, families want to know what role they can play in recovery, and how they can help with the process.
We at The Discovery House know addiction rehab information can be overwhelming, and our excellent admissions staff members are available to answer any questions you and your family have, and provide you with all the information needed to begin your stay. During admissions, you and your family will learn about the addiction treatment programs we offer and what your recovery process will entail. We meet with families at the start of treatment and throughout the recovery process so that everyone knows what they can expect during recovery and how they can help make recovery more successful. Alcoholism/addiction is known as a family disease. At The Discovery House, we know that when one member of the family struggles with a drug or alcohol addiction, everyone suffers.
We can help with all the information you might need. We work with most insurance companies and will sort through the details of payment and insurance. When you contact our admissions staff, these trained professionals will go over the treatment programs we offer, as well as what to bring to rehab and what to expect at our drug treatment center. The Discovery House is a fully licensed, Joint Commission accredited facility that provides treatment during all phases of recovery, and we walk residents and their families through the entire recovery process.
Our family program is a strong component to many residents’ recovery. Multi family group sessions are held every Saturday at The Discovery House. We welcome families into our facility at this time and for individual family consults to provide support for their loved ones, to learn more about the disease of addiction, and to develop stronger relationships with one another. We encourage family togetherness, and we work with individuals and families to help address underlying issues that have contributed to the addiction.
